Green Gas Network project by Pietro Fiorentini, Terranova and RetiPiù achieves one more international recognition, being one of the three finalists for the LIFE Citizen Price, “Clima” category, chosen by an international panel.
The Green Gas Network project proposes a system to reduce the "physiological" losses of methane gas in distribution networks, which is ten times more polluting than CO2. Tests conducted on distribution networks has highlighted the possibility of reducing emissions by over 3%.
Citizen Price is a special prize awarded by the citizens of the European Union with online vote to the best project of each LIFE category: “Environment” (dedicated to environmental protection), “Nature” (dedicated to biodiversity preservation) and “Clima” (for all the actions agains climate change).
All the citizens of the European Union can vote for their favorite project. Winners will be awarded during the celebrations of the European Green Week in Brussel on May, 16th.
