Pietro Fiorentini, Alumni UniPd e CUOA together to celebrate Matteo Cazzola

09 May 2023  -  Corporate

We are pleased to announce two initiatives that will be financed by Pietro Fiorentini in memory of Matteo Cazzola, a company employee who tragically passed away on the 31st of March 2023 at the age of 35 due to an avalanche during a holiday with a group of mountaineers in Norway.

Matteo was a company manager specialised in projects related to the development of hydrogen as a clean energy source. With a degree in Engineering from the University of Padua, in his personal and professional career he continued to dedicate himself to education in both technical and managerial fields, obtaining an MBA at CUOA Business School.

Considering his passion for studying and the importance of  training in the policies and values of the company, Pietro Fiorentini contacted both institutions where Matteo had developed his skills to collaborate on teaching programmes.

Pietro Fiorentini therefore decided to finance a scholarship for the Master in Business Management at CUOA Business School, which will start on 7 June 2023.

The scholarship covers 100% of the cost. The requirements of the announcement for applications, which end on 24th of May 2023, and all related information are available at this link.

In addition, in collaboration with the Alumni Association of the University of Padua, Pietro Fiorentini will also finance a prize for the students of the University of Padua who have obtained a master degree in Engineering or Science and who have written or are writing a thesis on energy transition issues.

The prize will be assigned annually to graduates who stand out for their academic results and passion for energy sector. Terms, requirements and details of the announcement will be shared over the coming weeks on company and university channels.

Both initiatives will be valid for several years and will be renewed in the future.

Mario Nardi, CEO of Pietro Fiorentini, said: “These initiatives are a way of honouring the memory of Matteo, a brilliant, talented young man with a strong passion for the issues of climate change, renewable energy and environmental protection. We are confident that our contribution will give deserving young students the opportunity to realise their dreams in the field of energy and innovation, just as Matteo did during his lifetime. His respect for our corporate values will remain an example for all to follow. We thank CUOA and UniPd for their heartfelt cooperation.”
